Our Services & PHILOSOPHY
The New Medicine Collaborative team can assist you in restoring balance in your health utilizing current standard medical tools alongside natural medicine interventions. You can see some of the common conditions and concerns of patients in our practice. We do not focus on symptoms; we focus on the individual person. We are specialists in Natural Medicine.
Our Intake visits are often a minimum of 1 hour in duration. Our aim is to establish a relationship and develop an understanding of any obstacles in your health. During the visit we will review your complete medical history, family medical history, lifestyle, and emotional health. Our visits may occur via TeleMedicine, in your home, or at our future medical office. See our Services page for more details.
Follow-up visits aim to review the response to previous recommendations. If you have not had recent follow-up, then we may extend the visit in duration and bill as a Comprehensive Intake visit.
Classical Constitutional Homeopathic Intake visits focus on discussing and listening to all health concerns, past and present, and often last 60-90 minutes.
What is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is an art, philosophy, and science of healing based on the law of similars. The art is the case taking, client communication and rapport, perceiving the client, analysis, and case management. The philosophy is based on the writing of Dr.Samuel Hahneman, MD. During the visit we acknowledge and observe the whole person, consisting of mind, body, and emotions.
The philosophy of our approach is outlined in the six core principles of Naturopathic Medicine
Vis medicatrix naturae (Trust in the Healing Power of Nature): The body has an inherent ability to restore health through nature’s healing properties.
Tolle causam (Identify and Treat the Cause): Naturopathic physicians seek to discover and address the underlying cause of a disease.
Primum non-nocere (First Do No Harm): A Naturopathic Physician's first consideration is to heal without causing any further harm.
Docere (Doctor as Teacher): We educate and therefore empower patients to take responsibility for their own health. Doctor as Teacher.
Tolle totum (Treat the Whole Person): A holistic approach is utilized by considering multiple factors of health and disease, and then formulating a treatment plan specific to the individual’s needs.
Preveniere (Prevention is Cure): Prevention is a key aspect of Naturopathic Medicine.
